Michael Morton has always been an innovator, meticulously crafting his sonic canvas to perfection on release after release.
His CODEX performance on Saturday night in Quebec City attested to that fact.
Joined onstage by Stephen Seto (S:Cage), songs mutated in real time. Each artist played off the other, filling in the spaces and improvising in a musical game of one-upmanship.
The same can be said of the constantly mutating visual backdrop for their performance, provided by the super awesome HUGH ELLIOT.
